Pretty, but not amazing
Client looks great, and no doubt I’ll make good use of features like iCloud bookmark syncing and the Transmit Drive.
However, the very first transfer I attempted (via FTP) was to download a folder with a number of files inside it: despite having the number of files to transfer set at 5, this kicked off just 1 download (the first file in the folder) and queued the rest of the files to wait — not automatically downloading in parallel. I had to manually drag each file in the folder in order for them to start downloading in parallel. So not really the most streamlined experience compared to pretty much every other client I’ve ever used, and rather a shock given the price tag…
UPDATE: and it’s only downhill from there — as others indicated, the Transmit Drive sounds like a good idea, but inevitably it just ends up in data loss (seems to be a caching issue where you can only update / write from one side of the disk, or you’re basically guaranteed to lose everything in the file). Maybe it has some must-have features for extremely niche users buried somewhere deep in Proxy configuration, or something, but with even the most basic functionality not up to par of freely available alternatives it’s a bit of a joke. Like others, I wanted to like it, but now can’t believe I spent this kind of money on such a poor tool.
